Applying the Findings of the Liverpool Desistance Study in Probation Practice: Views from the Front-Line 1London Probation Area The author argues that the previous article underestimates the degree to which probation practice already promotes strengths-based work with offenders and gives inadequate attention to the needs of victims in an otherwise appropriate critique of risk-focused discourse. She also highlights the work being done in her probation area to engage with communities.
