Using Video Recorded Interviews With Child Witnesses In Pre-Sentence ReportsTerry Thomas, Alison Bennett, Cerydwen Evans and Makhan Shergill consider the possibility of using children's videotaped testimony in child sexual abuse cases to inform probation officers' writing of pre-sentence reports. They pay particular attention to the ethical and practical issues which such an approach might entail, and argue that it would also help to break down barriers between probation and child protection services.
