Cross Cultural Psychiatry And Probation Practice: A Discourse On Issues, Context And PracticeThe 'cross cultural psychiatry' movement has developed alongside a growing awareness that ethnicity, cultural background and race are critical factors in determining the way in which mental illness is assessed and managed. Here, Kamaldeep Bhui describes the principles of cross cultural psychiatry and reviews the research evidence which precipitated its growing influence.
