Victims Of Mentally Disordered Offenders

Redressing The Balance Of Rights

There are at present no guidelines for working with victims of offenders dealt with under mental health legislation. Margaret Reith argues that this discrepancy should be addressed by giving them rights similar to those provided under the Victim's Charter. She explores the policy and practice implications of such a change, focusing particularly on risk management and confidentiality.
